Our team

Brian Stott
Lead Consultant
Brian has spent 23 years in English language education as a teacher, academic manager, teacher trainer, project manager and consultant.
He has worked in Europe (Poland, The Netherlands, UK, Spain), Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, China, Mongolia, North Korea), Africa (Eritrea) and The Middle East (Egypt). Most recently, Brian has specialised in English Language Teaching and English Medium Instruction policy advice to central and regional governments and higher education institutions.
Brian studied Law at the London School of Economics and English Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London. He also holds an MEd in ELT from the University of Manchester and is currently studying for a postgraduate Diploma in International Relations at the University of London.
He is a member of the Institute of Fundraising and also an FA qualified football coach specialising in grassroots football skills development for boys and girls and the development of leadership and life skills through sport.

Catharina Achterstraat
Development Manager
Catharina has worked for the last 18 years for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Eritrea, China, Burma Thailand, The Netherlands and Rwanda. Catharina's work has helped to develop relationships and opportunities for the Netherlands in business, culture and education.
Catharina holds a Diploma in English Common Law from the University of London. She has been a visiting speaker at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations - The Clingendael Institute - and is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Law at Leiden University.
